Northern Star Mining Services (NSMS) is the internal contractor for Northern Star Resources; a leading Australian-based gold producer with world-class assets in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Alaska.
NSMS implemented Minnovare’s Production Optimiser technology at one of their Kalgoorlie operations in Western Australia in 2018. In the two months following, blast-hole deviation at the collar reduced by 75%, drilled metres increased by 17%, with the highest stope recovery recorded in the life of the operation. If maintained over 12 months, stope cycle time would reduce by approx. 3.5% – resulting in an additional 5,000 ounces / AUD$8.4M revenue, at current gold price.
