#PushForBetter to raise mental health awareness | Minnovare
There’s a historical notion that you must consistently present a sparkly front at work, despite the life challenges you may be going through at any point in time. However, it is important to be remember that we are all human, and we will all inevitably face some ‘down’ days from time to time!
This month, the Minnovare Team have been putting their fitness levels to the test in the Push-Up Challenge, which involves completing 3,139 push-ups (or a similar form of exercise) over 24 days. As we work in an industry where poor mental health is the biggest safety risk, it is important to harbor a working environment where mental wellbeing is put first.
In support of this, Minnovare has built a team of qualified Mental Health First Aiders who have undergone training to understand the importance of having an open culture around mental wellbeing. It is important to understand what to say when someone isn’t quite themselves and to create a culture that allows people to take care of themselves.
Our Mental Health First Aiders provide the first point of contact at work for anyone who may be experiencing a low or needing some extra emotional support. We spend a lot of time at work together, so it is important to be able to reach out when the going gets tough.
As part of an ongoing commitment to our ESG programme, we look forward to continue supporting Lifeline in the Push-Up Challenge this month. Let’s get fit, have fun and raise awareness for a cause very dear to our hearts!
