Kalgoorlie Miner features the Goldfields Soup Patrol Service
Thank you to the Kalgoorlie Miner for featuring the Goldfields Soup Patrol Service in their latest edition. The soup van, established in 1998, patrols the Goldfields region of Western Australia to deliver food and essentials to the homeless or disadvantaged. For the residents in the region, a cup of soup and some warm bread goes a long way when there are no other nutritional food sources available.
It is fantastic to have had Jim Walker, Chairman of Diggers & Dealers, highlight the significance of the service in his address on opening day.
The van is patrolling the region during the annual Diggers and Dealers Mining Forum on 1-3 August, which serves as an important reminder of the disadvantaged rural communities residing nearby who are in need. Minnovare Director, Michael Beilby, said the group of companies and organisations wanted to give back to the communities they lived and operated in.
For those attending Diggers and Dealers, keep your eyes peeled for the van parked outside the venue.
